My Flip camera arrived this week

Sure, it was a Christmas gift for my wife, which is why it showed up on January 7th!

First, the Flip is a remarkable piece of hardware. It's like Apple made a video phone instead of a camera.

The packaging was easy to open and the instructions were only four pages, were simple to understand and straightforward.

Within five minutes I shot my first video of my children.

Why the Flip rocks:

- The video quality is as good as my $600.00 camera I also have.
- The Flip comes with a video cable which you can connect to your television and watch your videos on. One cable, hooks up in seconds.
- The Flip takes AA batteries. No recharging or extra cables.
- The Flip holds 60 minutes of video. No tapes with unknown recording time.
- The Flip records right away. None of that digital camera delay which means lost images!
- The Flip has this nifty USB interface which pops out the side of the camera and connects straight to your computer. YouTube here you come!
- The Flip can be used by anyone. My 6 and 9 year old both shot videos (after I was done playing with it).
- The sound quality was as good as any other video camera I have used.

One question: Why don't you have a Flip yet?
